About the Business Opportunities Conference

For twenty years, the Carnegie Mellon University Business Opportunities Conference has provided recruiters the opportunity to meet some of the brightest students from around the world. This student-run event is designed to facilitate recruiters' first step in developing a bond with talented individuals leading today's market. It provides the perfect opportunity for employers and potential employees to make strong connections and lasting relationships.

This year's Business Opportunities Conference is different from those of past years. We will be hosting information sessions prior to the conference in order for students to learn more about the companies attending and the positions being offered. We will also host a senior networking event the night prior to the conference for recruiters and students to establish a relationship in a more casual environment. In addition, recruiters will receive complementary resume books to learn about the students before their being acquainted.

Undergraduate business students at Carnegie Mellon base their learning around teamwork, leadership, creativity, innovation, and critical analysis. These students have proven their value over the years with the contributions they have made at firms worldwide. As the Class of 2007 prepares to enter the job market, the students will utilize the Business Opportunities Conference as their means to reach a post-graduate destination. Since the BOC is the first primary networking event of the school year, recruiters will have the opportunity to meet more than one hundred students who are prepared to apply what they have learned over their four years at Carnegie Mellon to any firm and help propel it to further success.
